Mission

VPHREC was established to:

foster cooperative research;
strengthen links between research organisations, industry, educational, government and non-government institutions;
strengthen the culture of public health research and education.

The Council’s goals are to:

help set the public health research and education agenda;
provide a diverse forum for policy development;
identify barriers to progress and opportunities for improvements to Victorian public health;
advocate on behalf of members;
raise awareness and appreciation of public health in Victoria;
increase the capacity of public health research and education in Victoria;
provide opportunities for members to work together to achieve common goals;
promote membership interests as a whole.
